DIPLOMA WORK
"Espíritu Huichol"
« Espíritu Huichol » was my final apprenticeship project to obtain my Interactive Media Designer diploma (CFC).

I invented a fictional traveling exhibition named « Espíritu Huichol », organized by the famous Mexican museum « Museo Soumaya ».
The objective of this project was to promote the « Huichol » handcraft and culture around Europe, and raise funds to build schools in the « Huichol » communities that don’t have access to any education system.
The « Huichols » are an indigenous community situated in the Sierra Madre occidental , where the ancestral art of « Huichol » survives.
Huichol handcraft is truly symbolic for Mexican culture, well known for the colorful universe that characterizes the handcrafted pieces made of wool yarn or colorful pearls, that carry a spiritual meaning inspired by the divine visions and myths of this civilisation.

My role
The exhibition that traveled around different European museums had a fictive stop at the cantonal museum of arts (MCBA) in Lausanne, Switzerland. For this event my objective was to create the promotional campaign using different medias. My aim for this campaign was to encourage people to visit the exhibition offering them a unique experience.

I had 14 days to create this project from scratch, which meant 80 hours to conceptualize, research, organize, and produce the content, and 40 hours to develop the documentation where I explain my research, every step of my journey and the final results and thoughts on my work.

I began by creating a communication strategy for the promotional campaign (focusing only on the exhibition's stop in Switzerland). I then worked on developing a visual identity that represented the « Huichol » culture and many illustrations. Following by setting up the social media accounts and producing content to post on this platforms. At the same time I designed the exhibition’s website prototype which had to be fully functional in desktop and mobile version, and worked on the storyboard, production and editing of the « teasing » video that presented the exhibition. I finally worked on the exhibition's poster, and a press add to captivate an audience that isn't active on digital platforms.

Every visual element (images, videos, illustrations)  were created by me :).
